Bill Kumpe, author of Deadly Minutes Versus Precious Seconds, A Primer on Armed Church Security and Concealed Carry In the Congregation, will present a two-part seminar on basic church security on April 4 and May 2 at Heartland Church, 4506 S. Vancouver Ave.

Each session will begin at 7 p.m. and last approximately 90 minutes. There will be no charge for admission but love offerings to help offset expenses will be accepted.

The April 4th session will present the need for armed church security and introduce the participants to basic church security concepts. The May 2nd session will introduce the participants to the legal aspects of church security through examination of the applicable statutory law and court decisions.

Kumpe holds a degree in criminal justice from Northeastern State University and a law degree from The University of Tulsa College of Law. He is an ADF Honor Guard Attorney and a former affiliate attorney with Liberty Counsel and The American Center for Law and Justice. He also a licensed armed private investigator and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
