The City of Tulsa is finalizing a deal for a new theater/restaurant development that would give a 10-year sales tax rebate of $530,405.00 to the developers.
Under the announced proposal by the city, the developers would get more than half a million dollars in tax rebates if they employ 100 people and have sales of at least $6.6 million.
Cinergy Entertainment plans to remodel existing structures – including Village Movies 8 – at 6808 S. Memorial Drive for a new complex.
According to their website, Cinergy Tulsa will have eight movie screens, 15 lanes of upscale bowling, electric recliners, reserved seating, a game floor, a full-service bar, “escape rooms,” and other features.
The expected opening is the fall of 2018. The company has locations in Odessa, Texas; Midland, Texas; Copperas Cove, Texas; plus new developments in Tulsa; Amarillo, Texas and El Paso, Texas.
The company was started by Jeffrey and Jamie Benson in Granbury, Texas, in 2009.
