With all the massive campaign mounted by the PRESBO administration – aided and abetted by the national media, both electronic and print – and academia pontifications to obtain a goal of the disarming of the citizens of the United States, some disturbing facts have been under reported.
One department of the administration, not law enforcement such as FBI, has been reported in alternative sources to have placed orders for 450,000 rounds of combat type ammunition. That is just one department. Other such actions have been reported for the Homeland Security as well as less action-oriented offices.
All the while, the last Congress (with the Senate half controlled by the Democrats) passed the “spending control bill” that stipulated that in the absence of a budget bill being passed, there would be automatic and massive spending reductions “across the board,” with half being made in the Department of Defense. As stated before, one of the primary duties of government is the defense of the land and people of the nation. The question becomes how can this duty be performed if the military is crippled by budget cuts? These actions serve to reinforce my concern about the statements reportedly made by PRESBO personnel that he would form his own militia that would be stronger and larger than the nation’s military forces.
In my opinion, the massive coverage of the various mass murders that have recently occurred have been overcovered by the government and media as a distraction to keep the citizens from waking up to the fact that those in power are seeking to obtain complete dictatorial power for their own aggrandizement and wealth. Thus the term – “bait and switch” – is being used. Maybe they think that they are accomplished magicians to be able to work this on us.
Hopefully, massive numbers of citizens have indeed awakened and swamped the sporting good stores to buy out the supplies of firearms and ammunition.
Unfortunately, this has served to inflate prices to the point that many are simply unable to afford the purchase of same for themselves.
This situation has served to prove an old adage that says if you want to reduce the supply of an item, it must be taxed or raise the belief that it will not be available in the future.
Some, or much, blame for the notorious mass murders that have occurred in recent years must be laid to the ACLU. The ACLU went on a nationwide program some years ago to “mainstream” those residing in institutions. With (it is believed) the undercover cooperation of the state agencies named as the lawsuit defendants, numerous mental and physical institutions were closed so that the residents, or inmates, were put out into the general population.
As a result, we have large numbers of individuals who should be in institutions running around loose and able to steal weapons to commit their mayhem on those unarmed lawful citizens and children.
With this as a background, PRESBO and his mindless supporters in the media have embarked on a massive program to vilify all guns, and those who own them for self defense and/or hunting and target shooting. The vice president even appeared on TV to recommend that for protection, one should use a shotgun. In previous years it has been recommended that pistols be the weapon of choice for self-defense. The use of a long-barreled gun makes it easier for the bad individual to grab it from the victim. Unfortunately, the Concealed Carry law in Oklahoma mandates that a weapon carried in a car must be unloaded and locked in the trunk with the ammunition locked in a different location of the vehicle.
These people will not stop until the citizens are completely disarmed and therefore defenseless. They must be stopped and replaced.
