Christview Christian Church at 2525 S. Garnett Road will present the 18th Annual Bethlehem Walk December 1-4.
Bethlehem Walk is a 45-minute guided outdoor walk through a realistic nativity, complete with lighted path for safety and authentic costumes and sets. A cast of 150-200 from Christview Christian Church plus others join live camels, donkeys, sheep, etc., to tell “The Greatest Story ever told.”
Each guest becomes a member of a family that is traveling to Bethlehem to be counted in the census and to pay their taxes. Guests encounter Roman soldiers, beggars, lepers, and even a host of heavenly angels along the road to Bethlehem. Each person has their tax papers stamped before being allowed into the city, which is alive with activity. Shopkeepers and dancers in the streets welcome each guest. Some have wares to sample. Hear of the birth of a “mysterious Child” in a manger. Learn the Child’s life story.
There is a musical pre-show and free refreshments. Groups are invited. Unwrapped toy donations are welcome. Reservations are required. The free performances are at 6:30-8:30 p.m. December 1 and 2; and at 5:30-8:30 p.m. December 3 and 4.
Call the Reservation Hotline at 918-232-3587 starting November 16. For more information, go to www.christview.org.
