Christie’s liberal performance
Here’s another reason why Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey shouldn’t be on the Republican ballot for president in 2016.
Christie signed a bill that forbids licensed therapists from trying to turn teenagers from homosexuality back to normal sexual preferences.
That’s right. Christie, who claims to be a “conservative,” thinks that it is impossible to change a teen who has experimented with homosexuality back to a straight lifestyle.
This is wrong on so many levels.
First, it is unconstitutional. It violates the First Amendment. A therapist should be able to counsel a young patient as he or she sees fit. New Jersey is following California in this ridiculous law. Instead of listening to reason and following the Constitution, Christie deferred to an openly homosexual assemblyman who said helping a teen get back on the right path is “an insidious form of child abuse.”
Homosexual activists believe that you are born with a destiny to be a homosexual and nothing you can do will change that. Their insidious message to young people is that if you ever make a mistake and have a homosexual encounter, you must live the rest of your lives having sex with members of your own gender. Christie won’t admit it but he is running for president. Like Obama, he thinks he must embrace homosexuality to get key votes. So he is willing to sacrifice the morality of New Jersey teens to bag a few votes.
Gov. Christie doesn’t care what the parents of a wayward teen care about, either. He would rather worship at the altar of political correctness.
Pity the children of New Jersey.
