Christmas closings for City of Tulsa
City of Tulsa offices will be Dec. 24-25 for the Christmas holiday and Jan. 1, 2014, for New Year’s Day.
Public safety and other critical operations will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the 24-hour emergency number, 918-596-9488.
On Dec. 25, and Jan. 1, there will be no residential refuse, recycling, yard waste or bulky waste collection. Many customers will experience a change in their collection days, according to the following schedule:
For customers with once-a-week collection services, Wednesday customers will be collected on Thursday; Thursday customers will be collected on Friday, and Friday customers will be collected on Saturday.
For customers with twice-a-week collection services, Monday and Thursday customers will be collected on Monday and Friday; Tuesday and Friday customers will experience no change in service; Wednesday and Saturday customers will be collected on Thursday and Saturday.
Tulsa’s greenwaste disposal site, 10401 E. 56th St. North, will be closed Dec. 24-26, and Jan. 1. The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter, 3031 N. Erie Ave., will be open from noon to 4 p.m. on Dec. 24, and closed Dec. 25, and Jan. 1.
Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1. Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses will be open Dec. 24, but closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
The Tulsa Performing Arts Center will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1 but ticket sales will be open through MyTicketOffice.com
Tulsa Transit will provide Saturday level service on Dec. 24. Bus service will not operate on Dec. 25, or Jan. 1.
