Letter to the editor: Churches, what is America’s sin?

I heard a powerful sermon by a pastor in Texas about the evil in our country and how the majority of churches are not speaking out against it.

As a Christian who loves God, I feel that I have to speak out against it.

I was shocked by the Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage. How does God feel about it? Read Romans 1:18-32.

I am grieved by the millions of unborn babies who have been murdered by cold-hearted abortionists and their organs sold for gain. How does God feel about it? Read Ephesians 20:13.

Crime is rampant, not only in our country but all over the world.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:4-8 that we are living in the end times.

Churches, wake up!

In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God says, “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, I will forgive them and heal their land.”

Churches, what is our sin?

It is not speaking up for God and telling unbelievers how He feels about the evil in our country and worldwide. Since God created everything and everybody, what God feels takes precedence over the Supreme Court.

Let’s also speak up for God and tell people about Jesus – the only Way to Heaven. John 14:6
