City Council switches to Wednesday

The Tulsa City Council has revised their regular meeting schedule and begin meeting on Wednesdays instead of Thursdays, beginning August 31.

The council will meet on August 31; September 14, 21 and 28; October 5, 12 and 26; November 2, 16 and 30; and December 7, 14 and 21. On the regular meeting days, the Public Works Committee will meet at Room 411 in City Hall. The Urban and Economic Development Committee will meet at 10 a.m. in Room 411 and the City Council will hold a “pre-meeting at 5 p.m. in Room 411.

The new council meeting will be at 6 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall at 175 E. Second St.

Historically, the council did not meet on Wednesday nights to avoid a conflict with churches that hold Wednesday night prayer meetings, church suppers and Bible studies.
