Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, won the Oklahoma GOP primary Tuesday while U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vermont, won the Oklahoma Democrat primary.
Cruz, with 35 percent of the vote, topped fellow Republicans Donald Trump (29 percent) and Marco Rubio (24 percent). Ben Carson was fourth with 6 percent while Ohio Gov. John Kasich was fifth with 4 percent.
Late Tuesday night it looked like Cruz would win his home state of Texas and Oklahoma. Trump was projected to win Alabama, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Virginia.
The GOP races in Vermont and in Arkansas (where Cruz and Trump were neck and neck).
It looked like Rubio, Carson and Kasich didn’t win any states on Super Tuesday. Rubio was a close second in Virginia
Sanders won his home state of Vermont and Oklahoma. Clinton was projected to win Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Sanders held a slight lead over Clinton in Massachusetts.
