Valparaiso University is dropping its team name Crusaders because the term has been “embraced by ‘hate groups.’”

What?

Because the Ku Klux Klan uses the word “crusader,” the university’s faculty and student senate passed resolutions calling for a change of that team name and the symbolism of a mascot with a helmet and fake armor.

Valparisao, which is supposed to be a Lutheran (Christian) university, apparently now is taking sides with the Muslims instead of the Christians in Medieval Crusades over the Holy Land.

The Crusades are now “immoral” and support of the Islamic faith is paramount and, according to political correctness, cannot be subjected to even slight criticism.

Unrevised history shows that The Crusades were waged to free Jerusalem and the rest of the area now held by the Nation Israel from Islamic rule. That was a noble quest. No doubt, there were problems with the Crusades in their intent and actions. But the Bible predicted that the Nation Israel would be restored to their homeland and that happened shortly after World War II.

True believers fought in the Crusades to restore Christianity to that part of the Middle East.

Now, historical revisionists are backing the Ottoman Empire and other Muslim governments who dominated the region. Some said the Crusades are a rallying cry for Arab nationalism and “western imperialism.”

In other words, Muslims are good, Christians are bad.

The result is that the progressive faculty and student body of a Lutheran university have denounced Christian efforts to free Jerusalem and instead bowed to Islam.

Here is one more reason to reform higher education in America.
