Gubernatorial hopefuls

Former Attorney General Drew Edmondson has announced his campaign for the Democrat nomination for governor of Oklahoma.

A Navy veteran who served in Vietnam, Edmondson’s first job upon leaving the military was teaching speech and debate at Muskogee Central High School. Edmondson and his wife, Linda, a retired medical social worker, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in June.

Tulsa attorney Gary Richardson has announced he is running for the GOP nomination for governor in 2018 and Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb is expected to enter the race on the Republican side.
