Here’s an interesting historical fact.
Adolph Hitler appointed Hermann Goring as Germany’s Minister of the Interior in 1933.
Hitler’s first orders to Goring were to defund and eliminate Germany’s police departments so they would not get in the way of Hitler’s Brown Shirts. The Brown Shirts set about looting, rioting, burning buildings and killing innocent citizens in order to manipulate elections to favor Hitler, a national socialist (Nazi).
In an announced step to combat “street violence,” in 1931 Germany’s Weimar Republic mandated gun registration. They assured the public that registration records would be confidential and not used as a guide to gun confiscation.
But in 1933, Hitler and his National Socialist Party used those records to disarm political enemies and thus end any chance to resist his complete takeover. Disarmed citizens, Jewish Germans in particular, could no longer resist and were victims of the 1938 Kristallnacht pogrom, a forerunner to the Holocaust and concentration camps. When Hitler conquered France, the death penalty was imposed on Frenchmen who refused to turn in their guns. French newspapers reported the names of gun owners who were shot for hiding firearms.
Pre-war restrictions on “military-style” firearms in France greatly hampered the outgunned French Resistance in World War II. It also stifled the right to free assembly.
The U.S. Congress in 1993 passed the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). It requires a background check on anyone buying a firearm from a licensed gun dealer. In 1994, former President Bill Clinton pushed through the ban on “assault weapons.” The problem was that millions of law-abiding Americans had these common semi-automatic rifles. Thankfully, that law expired 10 years later.
Just before the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, Congress passed a law banning gun registration and reaffirmed the Second Amendment right to bear arms.
Why is this important?
According to the Democrat Party’s platform and consistent with major voices in the national party, defunding local police departments is a priority. Joe Biden is lying when he denies that. Democrat mayors in major cities (Austin, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, etc.) have this underway already.
Democrats, including vice president nominee Sen. Kalama Harris, D-California, and Biden, have pledged to force a “buy back” program on American gun owners. Their argument is that it will stop the violence that is currently raging in major Democrat-run cities. It didn’t in Germany in 1933 and it won’t in America in 2020.
In 2020, Democrats want “universal background checks” for gun purchases. This would be a federal law that would prevent an individual from selling a gun to another individual without federal approval. The Democrats designed this to stop gun shows and to add another layer of bureaucracy.
Here is the progression that is part of the Democrat plan:
- Ban “assault rifles”
- Universal background checks
- Register all guns
- Confiscate all guns
• Dump parts of the U.S. Constitution and change our form of government.

O’Rouke famously said, “(Expletive) yes, we are coming for your guns.”
Hitler understood that it’s hard to conquer a well-armed population – that’s why he didn’t invade Switzerland and why Japan didn’t invade Hawaii after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
If America elects Biden and Harris, the defunding of police will accelerate and the erosion of constitutional rights will skyrocket.
Donald Trump and Mike Pence can stop this madness if they are re-elected on November 3.
