The Muskogee VA Regional Benefits Office will welcome home Veterans of the Vietnam War by recognizing their valor, service, and sacrifice on behalf of a grateful nation. The event will begin at 11 am, on March 29, outside on the grounds of the Muskogee VA Regional Benefits Office, 125 S. Main Street, in Muskogee.
This free event is open to the public and all men, women, and children are encouraged to attend. Representatives for VA benefits and services will be on-hand to assist Veterans and answer questions. Also participating in the event will be Veteran Service Organizations and other non-profit organizations that support Veterans and their families. Lunch (hot dog, chips, and drink) will be provided, at no cost, to Vietnam War Veterans in attendance.
As part of the welcome home event, all United States Veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces from November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location, will be presented with an official Vietnam War Commemoration lapel pin.
Parking at the regional office is limited, so attendees are encouraged to utilize overflow parking at the Muskogee Civic Center (425 Boston Street) or Arrowhead Mall (501 N. Main Street).
