Editorial: Liberal World blasts Bridenstine

The Tulsa World is having a harder time disguising its hatred for Republicans.

The liberal newspaper is on a mission to embarrass every Tulsa County elected official plus U.S. Rep. Jim Bridenstine.

Incidents in which white officers shoot black suspects are being reported all over the nation and rioting usually ensues. It did not in Tulsa. One reason was because Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler quickly filed charges against the shooter, a reserve deputy. Another reason is the Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glanz met with leaders of Tulsa’s black community to assure them that white officers are not out to shoot black people.

In the scope of liberal journalism, the Tulsa World is pounding out stories that are common knowledge and trying to paint a picture of Glanz as a crook and forcing him to resign. His resignation would be a feather in the cap of the two former World staffers who are up for a Pulitzer Prize for local reporting.

And following the Washington Post – maybe the most liberal newspaper in the nation – the Tulsa World put a story about Bridenstine being investigated on the front page. If you read the story carefully, it is clear that Bridenstine did not violate any laws or ethical code.

But by emphasizing this story, the World is trying to make Bridenstine appear like a crook.

All these stories are motivated by a deep-seated disgust for conservative Republicans by the leadership of the Tulsa World (now owned by Berkshire Hathaway and Warren Buffett).

That’s one of the big reasons for the declines in readership for big liberal newspapers.
