Elected Democrats beat their chests and complain about “threats to our Democracy” yet they continue to push for changes that damage the security of our elections.

And some judges are right in step with their progressive brethren.

The liberal Oklahoma Supreme Court agreed with the even more liberal League of Women Voters (which years ago was truly a non-partisan group) that Oklahoma should weaken the rules for absentee and mail-in ballots.

In America, you have to take your shoes and belt off to get on an airplane but the judges and Democrats want you to be able to mail in a ballot with no confirmation of its veracity.

In other words, they want more people who are not qualified to vote to cast ballots.

Oklahoma requires notarized ballots that arrive in the mail. This is a simple and inexpensive requirement. Every bank has a notary and almost all will notarize a document for free. This is just a level of accountability to show that the person who is registered to vote is truly the one who is sending in the ballot.

State Rep. Jason Dunnington, D-Oklahoma City, said, ““I’m happy to see the Oklahoma Supreme Court uphold what we already knew: Oklahoma doesn’t need to be one of only three states requiring notarized ballots.”

The June 30 primary election, because of the coronavirus, could be tricky for some voters. But the process is so important to our republic, taking time to get your absentee ballot notarized should not be a hinderance. We have always had people who want to manipulate our voting. Democrats and judges just paved the way for more monkey business.
