Tulsa will have a “March of Remembrance” at 1:45 p.m. April 23 as an annual prayer walk to remember those who did not survive the Holocaust and for those who liberated the captives.
The march will begin at Rivergate Church, 1439 E. 71st St. and end at the Jewish Federation of Tulsa at 2021 E. 71st St., where there will be a proclamation service. At that service, there will be first-hand accounts of World War II liberators and Holocaust survivors who were children will speak about their captivity.
The theme is Isaiah 62:1, “For Zion’s sake, I will not be silent.” Organizers say it is not a political rally and ask that participants not bring banners or printed T-shirts. For more information, go to MarchOfRemembrance.org or call 918-851-0651.
