MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Martins Igbanu scored a season-high 17 points, but Memphis went on a 25-5 run in the second half to pull away for a 76-67 win over Tulsa on Saturday afternoon.
Igbanu went 5-of-6 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line to pace the Golden Hurricane (10-6, 3-1). Junior Etou added 12 points to go along with six rebounds and three assists, but four other players — Corey Henderson Jr. (9), DaQuan Jeffries (9), Curran Scott (8) and Sterling Taplin (8) — neared double-figures for the visitors.
Jeremiah Martin scored a career-high 28 points, 15 of which came in the second half, to lead the Tigers (10-6, 1-2).
Mike Parks Jr. added 16 second-half points as Memphis became just the second TU opponent this season to shoot 50-percent.
Tulsa plays at Houston (12-3, 2-1) on Thursday.
