A new group, O&A (Oklahoma and Arkansas) Honor Flight, will continue to offer flights to Washington, D.C., to honor veterans.
The honor flights in Oklahoma were concluding because all of the World War II veterans and many Korea War veterans had already participated. The new group combines Oklahoma and Arkansas and is based in Siloam Springs, Arkansas (on Oklahoma’s eastern border).
The group will give priority to World War II veterans, Korean War veterans and any terminally ill veteran.
The first flight is set for April 20, leaving Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport in Bentonville.
