On February 10, The Assembly Church in Broken Arrow will host the “Night to Shine,” sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
In 2015, former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Tebow from Florida, launched Night to Shine. It is a special prom event for special needs children and adults. Full-time care givers and parents have a chance to relax as “chaperones” are with their teens.
Senior Pastor Ron Woods and The Assembly, 3500 W. New Orleans, agreed to host the event for the second year in a row. Last year, it drew 320 teens with their families from all across Oklahoma. More than 500 have already registered for this year’s event.
It starts at 6 p.m. on February 10 at the Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills, 1902 E. 71st St. Anyone age 16 and older with special needs, including those with disabilities (mental, physical or psychological) may attend. For more information, contact Young Adults Pastor Joel Thompson from The Assembly at 918-251-8591.
