Bucky Brooks, NFL media analyst, lists former Oklahoma wide receiver Dede Westbrook as one of the top six at his position in the upcoming draft.
Brooks has Westbrook tied with Isaiah Ford of Virginia Tech in the fifth position. Mike Williams of Clemson is first, John Ross of Washington is second, Corey Davis of Western Michigan is third and Juju Smith-Schuster of USC is fourth.
“Westbrook might be the best route runner in the class, but his slender frame is a huge concern for scout,” Brooks writes.
Brooks also has former OU running back Joe Mixon tied with Alvin Karmara of Tennessee as the fifth best running back in the draft.
“Mixon is a polarizing prospect due to his off-field baggage, but he is arguably the most talented running back in the class,” Brooks wrote. “He’s a transcendent playmaker capable of delivering splash plays as a runner/receiver, which will prompt decision makers to weigh the risk/reward consequences of picking him.”
Brooks has Leonard Fournette of LSU is listed first, followed by Dalvin Cook of Florida State, Christian McCaffrey of Stanford and D’Onta Foreman of Texas.
In a three round draft by Chad Reuter of nfl.com, Mixon is projected to be drafted by New England at No. 64 in the second round. He projects Westbrook to go at No. 74 in the third round to Philadelphia.
Former Sooner Charles Walker is projected to go to the Atlanta Falcons at No. 95 in the third round.
