Pop museum directors speak

Paul F. Lambert, conference coordinator and curator for the Oklahoma Historical Society, and Jeff Moore will discuss the controversial new OKPOP Museum at the August 12 monthly luncheon of the Tulsa County Republican Men’s Club.

Moore is the new director of the pop museum, which will be built with $25,000,000.00 in borrowed funds from state government in Downtown Tulsa.

The club meets at noon at the golf course clubhouse at LaFortune Park at 55th Street and Yale Avenue.

Businessman and author Richard Engle, president of Bell West America, will speak to the TCMRC at the September 9 monthly meeting. Engle wrote The Last American President and is researching a second book.

Dr. Everett Piper, president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, will speak to the club on October 14 about the implications for Christian organizations in the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court decision to legalize homosexual marriage in all 50 states.

The luncheons are open to the public and men and women can join the club. For information, call Darren Gantz at 918-742-9944.
