Editorial: Putin outmaneuvers Obama

Russia has military forces in Syria attacking the rebel forces who are supported by the Obama Administration.

As the weak and scattered foreign policy of Obama damages our influence in the Middle East, Russia is stepping into that political vacuum by propping up the Syrian dictatorship.

And Obama’s failed policies could provoke the biggest conflict between the United States and Russia since the Cold War.

This is all because we have a president who appeases our enemies and turns his back on our friends.

Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East – perhaps in the world. Yet Obama negotiated a nuclear arms deal with Iran (without the consent of the U.S. Congress) that stabbed Israel in the back. Obama’s enabling approach to diplomacy insures that Israel’s greatest enemy will soon have nuclear capability.

And as Obama surrenders all the gains America made from the War in Iraq and the War in Afghanistan, Russia’s Vladimir Putin is walking in to pick up the pieces.

Thanks to Obama, none of our allies can trust us. He has declared ISIS as the enemy, yet he stands idly by while Russia blasts the only on-ground troops who are fighting ISIS.

Only one of two conclusions can be drawn. First, Obama is in over his head and doesn’t know what to do. Or, his intent to weaken the United States and to end our status as the only world superpower.

In either case, brave soldiers are dying because of our failed policies and we are poking the Russia bear with a stick.
