Rewired Conference April 28-29

The 2017 Rewired Men’s Conference, presented by the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO), will be April 28-29 at Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center near Davis, Oklahoma.

Keith Burkhart, BGCO men’s and family ministry specialist, said the theme for the retreat will be “Advance Truth: Turning the World Upside Down.”

”Last year we had the introduction of ‘Truth.’ This year we are going through the next phase, which is to ‘Advance Truth,’ focusing on three primary pillars for men,” Burkhart said. “These (pillars), leadership, mentorship and discipleship, are key to advancing men back in the local church.”

Keynote speakers for this annual event include: Jim Putnam, co-founder and senior pastor of Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Idaho. In college, Putnam won three All-American titles in wrestling and went on to become a successful wrestling coach; Cliff Graham, a bestselling novelist and speaker who focuses on creating exciting Bible-based content and encouraging men to live a Christ-centered life; and Kenyatta Wright, born and raised in Vian, Okla. and is a graduate of and former linebacker at Oklahoma State University. He went on to play in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets.

Matt Roberson and The MET Collective return as the worship leaders at Rewired and actor and comedian “Michael Jr,” who starred in the hit movie War Room will provide entertainment on Friday night.

All who attend Rewired Men’s Conference can look forward to a large list of activities and amenities.

A 5K Run/Walk will take place, fitness competition, barbecue competition, stunt bike demonstration, basketball, skate park, giant chess, giant checkers, table tennis, intellectual games, grilling demonstration, trout fishing and hiking/walking trails will be available. Deadline for early registration for Rewired is April 14. Men can register for $70, and ages 13-18 can register for $60. Gate registration on the first day of Men’s Rewired is $80 for men and $70 for ages 13-18.
