School board filings are Dec. 5-7

Candidates for the Board of Education in 15 Tulsa County school districts will file for office beginning at 8 a.m. on December 5 and continuing through December 6-7, Tulsa County Election Board Secretary Patty Bryant said.

Bryant said the official filing period ends at 5 p.m. on December 7. All candidate filings will occur at the Tulsa County Election Board office, 555 N. Denver Ave., Bryant said.

The Board of Education positions at stake will be filled at the Annual School Election scheduled for February 14. If no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the total votes cast in the election, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will meet in a runoff election on April 4. Candidates may file for these offices:
