Sen. Loveless resigns

Oklahoma state Sen. Kyle Loveless has resigned in the middle of an investigation into his campaign finances.

Loveless has been under investigation by the Oklahoma Ethics Commission for not reporting thousands of dollars he got in his 2012 and 2016 campaigns.

In a letter to Senate leadership Thursday, Loveless resigned from his District 45 seat (covering Mustang and Oklahoma City.)

Loveless has not been charged with a crime, but Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater has said he would review the findings of the commission.
