State Sen. Nathan Dahm, R-Broken Arrow, will talk about constitutional rights at 6:30 p.m. June 4 at the Creek County Chapter of OK2A at Café USA, 725 S. Mission, in Sapulpa.
Dahm will discuss the Constitution, the balance of powers and the Second Amendment (gun rights).
Dahm was first elected in 2012 in District 33. He has introduced numerous gun bills, including a bill penalizing the enforcement of federal government gun restrictions in Oklahoma and a bill contradicting a federal ban on guns in schools.
In 2014, Dahm introduced the “Piers Morgan Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms Without Infringement Act” which would allow firearms to be openly carried without a permit. Former talk show host Morgan invited him onto Piers Morgan Live to debate the legislation. Dahm also sponsored legislation in the Senate to penalize the enforcement of the Affordable Care Act in Oklahoma.
