The United States of America in the actions of its president, Supreme Court, 33 states and 66 percent of its polled citizens, oppose Jesus Christ in the courtroom of God’s created order and revealed Word. Yes, we live in a country that has – in the Supreme Court decision to affirm homosexual “marriage” as the law of the land – made official what this country has been doing in practice for decades – striking down the declared will of God and thus standing in direct opposition to the words of Jesus Christ.
And no sir, you’re wrong if you say that Jesus didn’t issue a “courtroom” opinion on the subject of homosexual marriage. Yes He did and does for His Word is forever set in Heaven. (Psalm 119:89 – “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in Heaven.”)
Jesus coupled the writings of Moses (Moses wrote Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) with His own beliefs and teachings. He did this in such a way as to say, “Whatever Moses wrote, I also say.”
“For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote of Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” (John 5:46-47)
Moses wrote that the Lord told him that homosexuality is an “abomination,” a “detestable act,” “an exceedingly grave sin” and “wicked.”
“You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Genesis 18:20; 19:5-7)
Since Jesus aligned Himself with the words of Moses, then we do have Jesus’ view on the issue that was acted on – in direct opposition to Jesus – by our president, 33 of our States, 66 percent of our polled citizens, and made official by our Supreme Court. Jesus reiterated His view when He stated,
“But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female…and the two shall become one flesh.” (Mark 10:6-8)
- Ours is the same generation that has witnessed the institution of the State Of Israel, the rise of the Roman Empire (in its European western leg), the onset of the Empire of Magog (Russia), the comeback of the Middle Eastern states of Babylon (Iraq), Persia (Iran) and the king of the North (Syria-Iraq, i.e., Assyria), etc. A;; of these events are prophesied to signal the season of the return of Jesus. Now our generation has witnessed the official arrival – with pomp and circumstance – of the days of Lot – another of the Great Signs.
Jesus said just such a generation would also witness His return. He refers to “the days of Lot,” the dumbed-down society of Sodom and Gomorrah. They were blindly going about their daily routines while tolerating and engaging in “sodomy-like” acts, even pridefully parading their own “gay-rights” march right up to the doorstep of righteous Lot. (2 Peter 2:6-9 – “…and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter; and if He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men (for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds), then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment)…”
“It was the same as happened in the days of Lot…It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.” (Luke 17:28-30)
- The good news in all of this? We have just witnessed another major signpost of the return of Jesus to the earth. Yet the any-moment return of Jesus to take all true believers to Heaven – an event called the Rapture – will precede His Return to the earth. How close we are, for the “Days of Lot (homosexual activism)” points to the Second Coming of Jesus to the Earth in judgment. But since the Rapture occurs at least seven years before that, how close we are!
Praise God for His salvation and His abiding grace, even to a homosexual person who receives Jesus as the only One who died for our sins (all of them), and who saves us through Faith alone, by Grace alone. No one, and no sin, is excluded from salvation in Jesus if we ask Him in faith, for:
“If you knew the gift [grace] of God, and who it is [Jesus] who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him [faith], and He would have given you [free-grace] living water” [salvation].
Jesus lives and reigns, in spite of the U.S. Supreme Court!
