Former District Attorney of Tulsa County, Tim Harris, endorsed Republican Tom McCloud for House District 67.
“I’ve seen his heart, he loves people, he wants to serve the people of his district and Oklahoma; whatever I can do to help that, I will,” Harris said on Tulsa Beacon Weekend on KCFO AM970 on August 1.
Harris, a guest on the radio show with McCloud, said this summer’s trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa gave him insight on the character and determination of McCloud.
“It takes people with conviction to take a stand for what’s right and I believe he will do so,” Harris said.
Harris, who retired from the DA’s office last year, said the state needs more people like McCloud in public office. Rep. Pam Peterson, R-Tulsa, currently represents District 67 and is term limited in 2016.
McCloud is a third generation Oklahoman and local Tulsa businessman. He is the owner and publisher of Community Spirit Magazine, a local Christian publication distributed throughout the Tulsa area since 2000. McCloud lives with his wife of 36 years, RayeLynn, in South Tulsa.
