City of Tulsa offices will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Day (but open on New Year’s Eve).
Public safety operations will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – 918- 596-9488, and sewer – 918-586-6999. On Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, there will be no garbage collection. Here is the schedule:
- Once-a-week customers on Friday will have service on Saturday. Twice-a-week customers on Tuesdays and Fridays will have collections on Tuesday and Saturday.
The Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter, 3031 N. Erie Ave., will be open from noon to 4 p.m. on Dec. 24, but closed Dec. 25, and Jan. 1.
Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24-25; and Friday, Jan. 1. Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses will be open Dec. 24, but closed on Dec. 25, and on, Jan. 1. Tulsa Transit will provide Saturday level service on Dec. 24. Bus service will not operate on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1. All services will operate on a regular weekday schedule on New Year’s Eve.
Tulsa will be offering complimentary collection of live Christmas trees during December and January. Residents may place live Christmas trees at the curb on their primary collection day without lights, tinsel and ornaments. If the Christmas tree is longer than six feet in length, it must be cut into lengths of six feet or smaller. This collection is not for artificial trees.
