The University of Tulsa’s 2017 football season opener against state foe and Big 12 opponent Oklahoma State in Stillwater will be played on Thursday night, August 31. The game will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. and televised on FOX Sports 1 (FS1).
TU and Cowboys will meet for the 73rd time as OSU holds a 39-28-5 series lead. This will be just the third time in the series that the teams kicked off the season against each other, as the previous two times came in 1987 and 1990.
Tulsa’s home opener against Louisiana on September 9, will kick-off at 3 p.m. Louisiana finished the 2016 season with a 6-7 record, with an appearance at the 2016 New Orleans Bowl. The two teams have met nine times previously, as ULL leads the series by one game, 5-4.
Game times have also been established for road games at Toledo (6 p.m.) and SMU (8 p.m.), while Tulsa’s Friday night home game against Memphis on Nov. 3 is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time.
