TU’s Garrett a AAC first team pick

The University of Tulsa senior receiver Keyarris Garrett was a unanimous selection to the American Athletic Conference first team as voted on by the league’s coaches.

In addition, Golden Hurricane senior safety Michael Mudoh and junior linebacker Trent Martin earned honorable mention all-conference accolades. Garrett, from Daingerfield High School in Daingerfield, Texas, leads the nation in receiving yards with 1,451 yards and seven touchdowns on 88 receptions, and is second nationally for receiving yards per game with 120.9 yards.

Mudoh, from Houston, Texas, is second in the American Athletic Conference for tackles with 126, one behind Houston linebacker Elandon Roberts.

Martin, a linebacker from Jenks High School, has 96 tackles, 14 TFLs for minus-31 yards, two sacks for minus-5 yards, four forced fumbles and three pass break-ups this year.
