University of Tulsa football senior punter Dalton Parks joins the list of Tulsa players getting an opportunity to make an NFL roster. Parks has received a mini-camp invitation with his hometown Kansas City Chiefs.
Parks joins quarterback Dane Evans (New York Jets), receiver Keevan Lucas (New York Jets) and defensive tackle Hayden Carman (Minnesota Vikings). A former walk-on, Parks (6-3, 220) handled the punting chores for TU for four seasons beginning as a true freshman in 2014. He was put on scholarship in the spring of 2014.
The Kansas City, Mo., native played in 50 career games and completed his career with 269 punts for 11,068 yards, 87 fair caught, 81 inside the 20 and 50 going 50+ yards. His 269 punts and 11,068 yards are school records. Parks was named to the preseason watch list for the Ray Guy Award for three years.
