U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas is the best choice to be elected president in 2016.
Cruz is a genuine, grassroots conservative and an outstanding Christian gentleman. For perhaps the first time since Ronald Reagan in 1980, America could elect an Evangelical conservative who has the courage to fight for his idealogy.
As solicitor general of Texas, Cruz argued before the U.S. Supreme for the placement of a Ten Commandments Monument on the grounds of the Texas Capitol in Austin.
Cruz campaigned on a pledge to repeal Obamacare, the onerous package of socialized medicine that even liberals now admit was a mistake.
Cruz stood up to the leadership in his own party when they caved to President Obama and stopped challenging him on fiscal and social issues.
Cruz will repair America’s shattered foreign policy. Unlike Obama, our enemies will fear us and our friends won’t be abandoned. Cruz will restore our relationship with Israel.
Safety is a primary responsibility for government and it is lacking in America, thanks to Obama. Cruz will rebuild our military, secure the border and welcome immigrants who come here legally.
Cruz does not endorse homosexual marriage. He is opposed to abortion. He sees the debt crisis as a moral issue.
There are other Republicans who would be much better than Obama or Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders (three are essentially or actually socialists). But none of the GOP contenders has all of the attributes of Sen. Ted Cruz.
This could be a Reagan moment in American history.
The Tulsa Beacon endorses U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, for president of the United States.
