State Rep. George Faught is a small businessman who is making a sacrifice to serve his fellow Oklahomans in the State Legislature.
Faught, a Muskogee Republican, is chairman of the Administrative Rules Committee in the House. He also sits on the A&B General Government, Transportation and Veterans/Military Affairs committees.
Faught is an active member of Tulsa Bible Church, where he serves as a deacon, usher and Discovery Class teacher.
Faught, a genuine conservative, has been elected in a heavily Democrat district because of his devotion to values that all Oklahomans share and his willingness to roll up his sleeves and tackle difficult problems.
Faught has worked hard to fine tune how the House operates. He is a champion for Second Amendment gun rights.
Faught has authored common sense legislation to aid public education. He supports common sense environmental issues.
Faught understands the problems faced by small businesses, which create most of the jobs in the state and the country. He knows what it takes for the government to foster economic growth without expanding unneeded bureaucracy.
Faught is pro-life and opposes new taxes. But perhaps his best quality as a lawmaker is that he listens and he makes studied judgments. He genuinely cares for the welfare of constituents in District 14 and throughout the State of Oklahoma.
With the state’s fiscal crisis, this is no time for on-the-job training for new legislators.
The Tulsa Beacon heartily endorses Rep. George Faught for re-election to the State House.
