Public school students are in trouble.
Progressives dominate the administration and school boards and their philosophies are damaging an entire generation.
Former Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris, who has taught law in college, wants to help right the ship of public education in Tulsa. He is running for the District 7 seat on the Tulsa Public School Board.
District 7 is an open seat because Vice President Suzanne Schreiber decided not to seek another term. Three other candidates – Junegrid Baker, Ellen Fuller, and Susan Lamkin – filed and the primary election is February 8.
Tulsa Public Schools needs more conservative voices on the board who not only understand the complex issues but also will willingly work to provide oversight when liberals stray away from genuine education to indoctrination.
Tim Harris has an outstanding record as Tulsa County District Attorney. He was honest, knowledgeable and aggressive in fighting crime. When he retired, he left his department in great shape under the leadership of District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler.
All over America, there are pockets of crooked district attorneys. Tulsa has been blessed to have a string of DAs with outstanding character and accomplishment.
That is what Tim Harris will bring to the Tulsa Board of Education. Harris will battle Critical Race Theory and its racist implications. He understands how to effectively use financial resources available to public schools. He has worked for decades with state lawmakers. He understands the law inside and out.
Tim Harris is genuine and outspoken about his faith in Jesus Christ. It’s real.
The Tulsa Beacon heartily endorse former Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris for TPS District 7 and urges you to vote for him on February 8.
