Road wins in the Big 12 are hard to come by.
Oklahoma fell to TCU (12-2, 2-1) Saturday, 58-59, in overtime in Fort Worth, Texas.
TCU’s Charles O’Bannon hit a three-point shot with 27 seconds to go that proved to be the winner. OU’s Elijah Harkless hit a layup to cut the lead to one but it wasn’t enough.
Oklahoma (12-2, 2-3) led 29-27 at halftime and had a seven-point lead five minutes into the second half when it went into a 3-of-19 shooting drought. TCU countered with a 17-4 run, leading 48-42 with under two minutes remaining. OU’s Hill got free under the basket and took an inbounds pass to score with 1.4 seconds left to send the game into overtime tied at 50-all.
Hill scored 12 points with 14 rebounds for OU (12-5, 2-3). Jordan Goldwire had 12 points, Harkless added 11 and Tanner Groves had 10 rebounds but only six points, well below his team-leading 13.7 average.
Oklahoma had won the last eight meetings with TCU.
OU hosted Kansas Tuesday night.
Baylor travels to Norman to play OU at 2 p.m. Saturday.
