U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has a solution for record high gasoline prices. Buttigieg said having more electric cars and vehicles would make everything more affordable. He didn’t say how that would work.
Buttigieg and the Biden administration are so blinded by the myth of global warming and climate change that they ignore common sense.
Cars need energy to run. They need gas or diesel fuel or electricity. Where does electricity come from? Mostly from energy plants that use coal, natural gas or nuclear power.
Solar power and wind power are unreliable. If it is cloudy or the wind isn’t blowing, they don’t produce.
And if you want to look at a real environmental disaster, take a look at the landfills that will be taking old car batteries from electric vehicles that have to be replaced periodically.
So Buttigieg said Biden will give $2 billion of COVID relief funding to transit agencies in 18 states. This will be spent on electric buses. Another $5 billion will be wasted on a nationwide electric vehicle charging network.
America should explore all types of energy. The goal should be to reliable energy at the lowest cost and to make America energy independent once again.
Instead, Buttigieg and Biden want to end fossil fuel production, put everyone in very expensive electric cars and not worry about energy blackouts or national security concerns.
This is what happens when you elect a president who has never had a real job and hires people who just don’t know what they are doing.
