Why should citizens in District 7 of the Tulsa School District elect former Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris on April 5? One reason is because families can trust Harris to oppose Critical Race Theory (CRT).
What is CRT?
Liberals see it as a recent social construct that claims that dominant groups (white people) have historically had advantages and currently oppress other races. Its application in the classroom is that if you are white, then you are a “racist” even though you have never taken any racist actions. And if you are a minority, you have been oppressed and deserve compensation no matter what your life is like.
Imagine a fourth-grade white boy being told by his teacher that he is a racist – not by his own choosing but because of his ancestors. CRT advocates say America is an evil nation because of it had legalized slavery since its founding. And even after slavery was abolished, America still has de facto slavery because white people have the most advantages.
This is wrong on so many levels. And though Tulsa school officials call it a non-issue, it is headed this way if not here already. And that’s just one issue threatening our public education.
Tulsa Public Schools needs conservative voices on the board who not only understand the complex issues but also will willingly work to provide oversight when liberals stray away from genuine education to indoctrination.
Tim Harris has an outstanding record as Tulsa County District Attorney. He was honest, knowledgeable and aggressive in fighting crime. When he retired, he left his department in great shape under the leadership of District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler.
Tim Harris is genuine and outspoken about his faith in Jesus Christ. That perspective is lacking in TPS.
The Tulsa Beacon endorses former Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris for TPS District 7 and urges you to vote for him on April 5.
