Due to an early retirement, Tulsa County voters will elect two county commissioner this year.

District 1 Commissioner Stan Sallee, a Republican, will take on Democrat challenger Sean Johnson on November 8. Both are from Collinsville.

The District 3 slot is open due to the retirement of Commissioner Ron Peters. Three Republicans,  Margie Alfonzo, Tulsa, Bob Jack, Tulsa, Kelly Dunkerly, Jenks, will face off in the June 28 primary. If one gets more than 50% of the primary, he or she wins the election. If not, the two top vote getters advance to the August runoff election.

Tulsa County Assessor John A. Wright, a Republican, faces Libertarian Todd Hagopian. No Democrat filed so that race goes straight to November 8.

In the only race for District Court Judge in Tulsa County, the candidates are Kevin Gray, Tanya Wilson and Todd Tucker.

Tulsa County Treasurer John Fothergill was re-elected because he didn’t draw an opponent and the same was true for Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler.
