A median modification project started June 13 at South Memorial Drive and the intersections with 102nd Street, 106th Place and 110th Street. The work is estimated to take between four and six weeks.
Work will be done one intersection at a time, beginning at 110th Street. In each work area, the two inside lanes and the turn lane will be closed.
This project will restrict left-turn movements except for at signalized intersections. Medians will be added to prevent left turns onto Memorial Drive at these locations.
Memorial Drive is also U.S. Highway 64. This is a cooperative project among the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the City of Tulsa, and the City of Bixby. ODOT is paying half of the cost, with the cities of Tulsa and Bixby each paying 25 percent.
