PARIS – Coach Porter Moser and the Oklahoma men’s basketball team completed its three-game foreign tour with a 91-53 victory over the Paris All-Stars August 9 at Gymnase Léo Lagrange.

Joe Bamisile and C.J. Noland led the Sooners with 16 points each and Bijan Cortes added 13 points and a team-high seven assists. Noland finished the night 6-for-7 from the field and five 3-pointers. Cortes shot 6-for-7 from the floor and had four threes. Tanner Groves led OU on the boards, grabbing a team-high five rebounds.

OU entered halftime with a 38-25 advantage after PSA narrowed the gap late in the second frame.

After a quick intermission, OU regained momentum and quickly pushed its lead back to 20-plus points.

Oklahoma entered the final 10 minutes with a 25-point advantage (60-35).

The Sooners, who scored 38 points in the first half, nearly matched their total in the fourth quarter. OU continued to clamp down on defense and found its shooting stroke from deep. Oklahoma finished the fourth quarter with 31 points.

The Sooners scored 97 points per contest compared to 55 by their opponents in the three foreign tour games.

Oklahoma flew back home on August 12.

In Barcelona, OU improved beat the Maresme Select Team 103-71 August 6 at Poliesportu Municipal de Tiana.

Grant Sherfield led the offense for the Sooners with a team-best 19 points on 6-for-12 shooting. Sherfield finished 5-for-10 from the three-point line and added five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Bamisile recorded a double-double and finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The Sooners maintained their 30-point advantage through the third quarter and entered the final 10 minutes up 81-49. OU broke the 100-point mark with 2:30 remaining in the contest.

The  Oklahoma men’s basketball team beat the Mataro Select team 97-41 in its foreign tour opener August 4 at Poliesportu Municipal de Tiana. Bamisile and Sherfield led OU. Bamisilie had a team-high 22 points on 10-for-13 shooting from the field and finished 2-for-3 from deep. Sherfield added 14 points and led Oklahoma with six assists.
