My Deliverer, a contemporary theatrical production, will be performed at 7 p.m. April 19 (Good Friday), twice on April 20 and an early evening show on Easter Sunday at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center.

Writers and producers Jay and Lisa Huffer said it is important to pass along stories from the Bible to the next generation.

The Huffers have co-led the creative arts ministry team at Boulevard Christian Church for more than 30 years. Jay Huffer has built sets, acted, designed lighting and played in the orchestra for such shows as Shrek, Guys and Dolls, Beauty and the Beast, Aida, Music Man, Sister Act, It’s a Wonderful Life  and more.

“Telling the story of Creation, the story of the Fall, the story of Redemption, the story of love…Telling the story of Jesus,” they said.
