OU returns to play this week against the Iowa State Cyclones in Ames, Iowa, Saturday at 11 a.m.  Oklahoma is 4-3 overall (1 -3  Big 12) and is coming off a bye week. Iowa State is 3 – 4 overall (0-4 Big 12) in the standings.  The Cyclones are also coming off a bye week.

The Sooners lead the series against the cyclones with a 77-8-2 record in the regular season. The Sooners have dropped two games in recent years, one in 2017 in Norman 38-31 and the other in 2020, 37-30 in Ames. Oklahoma came back to beat the Cyclones in the Big 12 Championship in 2020 with a score of 28 – 21.

Oklahoma has averaged 33.9 yards per game this season, allowing 31 yards per game to their opponents. Iowa Stae has scored 22.9 yards per game, but has only allowed 15.1 yards per game, and has narrowly lost all of its Big 12 games. If OU’s defense shows up it should be a good gam
