The Tulsa Beacon was notified on Tuesday by the Muskogee Phoenix, that although the newspaper could be printed on time, it could not be delivered to the Beacon offices at the usual time due to the winter storm’s making the roads too hazardous.
Susan Biggs, publisher of the Tulsa Beacon commented “That the earliest we can forsee getting the paper to the post office will now be Thursday morning, instead of the usual Wednesday afternoon time.” This would result in a delay to subscribers receiving the newspapers at the earliest on Friday, instead of Thursday.
Depending on weather and road conditions it might even be later. Biggs stated “We take getting the newspapers into subscribers hands seriously and will make every effort to get it to them as soon as possible”
