OU again trimmed the OSU advantage to single digits on a Tanner Groves 3-pointer with 6:10 left in the half.

The Cowboys led 42-28 at halftime and controlled most of the second half.

Down by 22, the Sooners put together a 13-3 run over a three-minute stretch that was sparked by a Milos Uzan 3-pointer. Otega Oweh pitched in five points during the run and went 5 of 6 from the free throw line.

OSU responded with back-to-back dunks to push its lead to 69-52. The Sooners closed the game on a 9-2 spurt and cut the deficit to 10 as time ran out.

Sherfield led the Sooners with 14 points and fellow starting guard Uzan added 11.
