The Sooners will face three new teams in the Big 12 schedule: Cincinnati, UCF, and BYU. Houston, the other new team to the Big 12, will not play the Sooners this year.
Overall there will 12 games with three non-conference games and nine Big 12 opponents. The BYE week will be the week of October 14, following the Texas game. Other than the Texas game the regular season schedule is split evenly with 4 home games and 4 away games.
First up for the Sooners will be a trio of non-conference games beginning with the September 2 matchup with Arkansas State at home. Next up at home would be the SMU Mustangs on September 9, finally OU would play at Tulsa on September 16.
After the three non-conference games, there will be nine conference matchups beginning with an away game against conference newcomer Cincinnati on September 23.
Iowa State is up next in Norman, battling OU on September 30.
The OU-Texas game will be played in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl, with a bye week following the game.
The Sooners will then face UCF at home on October 21, and then play at Kansas to finish out October on the 28th.
November starts with a bang with the Bedlam game being played in Stillwater.
Out of the next three games, two are played at home and one away. First up is West Virginia at home on November 11, then the Sooners will play newcomer BYU in Provo, Utah. The last regular season game will be the TCU Horned Frogs at home in Norman.
