It appears to me that, like it or not, there is an incipient “revolution” now underway here in our republic established by ratification of the Constitution on September 13, 1788. History has shown that nations operating as “democracies” – as opposed to tyrannies – have lasted no more that 200 years. Unfortunately, the freedoms guaranteed to us by the Constitution make it easier for those determined to undermine the existing form of government to organize and obtain a solid foothold to pursue their nefarious goals.
First, it seems necessary to define the meanings of words often used improperly in not-so-recent years by media and those of the Communist/Facsist/Socialist persuasion who intend to change the existing form and establish the absolute dictatorship desired, with them being the absolute rulers. But first it will be necessary for them to disarm the population. Language misuse is not something new, but has existed for over two centuries here in the United States.
For example, during the war started by the king of the British Empire, he ordered his troops, and hired foreign mercenaries, to “put down the rebellion” upon receipt of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
Since then it has been referred to as the “Revolutionary War,” whereas the correct term should be “War for Independence.” Likewise, the war in the 1860s really should be called the same or the war for succession as the South did not wish to destroy the Washington government, but to separate from it, as did the original 13 colonies. In retrospect, they might have done better if they had prepared their own “Declaration of Independence” and enumerated their mistreatment by the Northern States.
Now for at least 105 years, beginning according to my education, there has been a movement to terminate the republic form of government and replace it with the Socialist form – sometimes called “Populist” – to appear more palatable to the uninformed masses. At that time, during the Woodrow Wilson Administration, the beginnings were instituted with the ratification, on February 3, 1913, of Amendment XVI, or ‘income tax amendment’ which simply states: “The Congress of the United States shall have the power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among he several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”
Further pushing the effort was Amendment XVII, ratified April 8, 1913, which changed the election of U.S. senators from being selected by the state governments to being elected by the population. Its wording is too long for the spaced allowed me, and it is three paragraphs rather than one sentence as were many of the earlier Amendments. Credit for these two amendments being brought up has been historically given to one Col. House, reportedly a Socialist, who was managing the White House in the absence of President Wilson, historically said to have been suffering from a stroke. These changes were in line with the written proclamation of Communist radical Karl Marx earlier as the project for the Bolshevik Revolution, which brought about the Soviet Union in Communist Russia.
In my opinion, all the rioting and destruction that we have witnessed in the last several decades is the carrying out of the intended ending of the republic we have to thank for 240-plus years of freedom and the greatest economy the world has ever known. If these radical acting elected officials recently placed in important offices in Congress succeed, not only those of us here, but the entire world will descend backward into the despotism of past millenia.
That is until Jesus returns!
