“Science changes all the time.”

That’s a quote from secularist Bill Nye, the “science guy.”

If that is true, and it is, why must the public blindly accept anything put forward by the scientific community? Remember when Obama said “the science is settled” on human-cause “climate change (global warming)?

Naturalnews.com deftly points out that before there was “Scientist” Al Gore and global warming, there was “global cooling throughout the 1970s.

Here are the facts (which don’t change):

On November 15, 1969, Science News reported that Meteorologist Dr. J. Murray Mitchell, Jr., stated, “How long the current cooling trend continues is one of the most important problems of our civilization…”

I imagine the sale of parkas rose dramatically.

On May 21, 1975, a New York Times headline stated: “Scientists Ponder Why World’s Climate is Changing: A Major Cooling Widely Considered to Be Inevitable.”

The only big change was a drop in the circulation of the New York Times.

On January 11, 1970, the “infallible” Washington Post reported: “Colder Winters Held Dawn of New Ice Age: get a good grip on your long johns, cold weather haters – the worst may be yet to come…”

This is one of the early examples of fake news.

On December 29, 1972, the New York Times wrote: [T]he “mantle of polar ice increased by 12 percent” and had not returned to ‘normal’ size. North Atlantic sea temperatures declined, and shipping routes were ‘cluttered with abnormal amounts of ice.’” That story also stated that the permafrost in Russia and Canada was advancing southward.

This was a “worldwide” calamity?

On May 21, 1975, Walter Sullivan of the New York Times wrote: “Scientists Ask Why World Climate Is Changing; Major Cooling May Be Ahead; Scientists Ponder Why World’s Climate Is Changing; a Major Cooling Widely Considered to Be Inevitable.”

Science and the liberal media proclaimed that cooling was inevitable, just like “global warming” is inevitable now.

It wasn’t just the liberal newspapers. In February of 1974, Fortune Magazine wrote: “Climate – the Heat May Be Off: …despite all you may have read, heard, or imagined, it’s been growing cooler – not warmer – since the Thirties.”

The cooling stories went out of their way to dispute any notion of global warming.

In June 1974, TIME Magazine, reported: “Climatological Cassandras are becoming increasingly apprehensive, for the weather aberrations they are studying may be the harbinger of another ice age. … unexpected persistence and thickness of pack ice in the waters around Iceland.”

Scientists “prove” that they can predict climate from ice formations. Does that sound familiar?

In 1975, Newsweek article, “The Cooling World,” promoted “solutions” to global cooling “such as melting the arctic ice cap by covering it with black soot or diverting arctic rivers.”

Remember when Al Gore said our coastal cities would soon be under water due to global warming?

In 1975, Nigel Calder, former editor of New Scientist, wrote: “The threat of a new ice age must now stand alongside nuclear war as a likely source of wholesale death and misery for mankind…”

There it is. Global cooling will be more devastating than a nuclear war.

The 1976 Lowel Ponte book, The Cooling, stated: “The cooling has already killed hundreds of thousands of people in poor nations… [global cooling would lead to] world famine, world chaos, and probably world war, and this could all come by the year 2000.”

Actually, if the world were cooling, that would be more destructive than global warming, which can be beneficial.

In the Feb. 16, 1979, issue of The Age, the headline states: “Preparing the world for a new Ice Age”: “…the next Ice Age… Droughts, floods, the failure of monsoons and the run of hard winters are all evidence, they say, that the world has come to the end of a spell of even-tempered weather which began in about 1910…”

These “scientists” believe the new ice age apparently started in 1910.

Don’t forget the academic community. On August 19, 1994, the Lawrence Journal World reported: ”Study confirms global cooling: Temperatures have declined 5 degrees since about 4800 B.C., a California Institute of Technology study says.”

I just wonder how they knew what the average temperature was in 4800 B.C.?

Here’s the takeaway from these scientific facts.

First, you can’t trust the liberal news media. They will report climate change like it is a fact and ridicule anyone who disagrees. And they will never acknowledge that science was wrong about the climate.

Secondly, scientists make their living by doing experiments and coming up with spectacular conclusions. Honesty is a rare commodity when they are looking for government grants.

Thirdly, meteorologists can’t even predict the weather for tomorrow with complete accuracy. How are climatologists able to declare – with no doubts – that they know what the climate is going to do?

Finally, mankind can’t control the climate. It is too big, too complex and too unpredictable. Climate change scientists switched from “global warming” to “climate change” because global warming was just too easy to disprove.

Climate change is all about wealth redistribution. It is a political movement to get America to surrender its wealth, damage its economy and get dragged down to the level of less prosperous nations.

Thirty years from now, “inerrant science” may rotate back to global cooling.
