Tulsa – The Demand Project (TDP) invites movie goers to join us at the premiere of the new movie “Trapped,” a compelling drama highlighting the realities of online predators, sexual abuse and sex trafficking of children. Producer Ejaz Khan chose TDP to give moviegoers a way to join the fight against human trafficking after seeing the realities of the heinous crime on the big screen.
The movie intertwines the stories of two small town, American girls – one who flees into a dark and dangerous predicament and the other who disappears, leading her parents to issue a desperate plea for her return. It is a stark reminder of the shadows that lurk behind closed doors and the light of hope that never ceases to shine.
Please help us to fill every seat at the Geaux Theater in South Broken Arrow on Thursday October 17. It is located at 3812 South Elm Place, 74011. Khan says this film was crafted not only to inform but empower viewers to join the fight to protect the innocence of America’s kids.
“The Demand Project is proud to partner with Ejaz Khan as his film uses the power of cinema to address the critical need for conversations between parents and their teenagers about the perils of online interactions, sexual abuse and sex trafficking, said TDP Co-founder and CEO Kristin Weis. “We have spoken to thousands of children and adults across the state about this very topic and offer free presentations to schools, professional organizations, businesses and churches to help protect our children against online predators. Visit our website at thedemandproject.org to request a presentation in your area,” said Weis.
The Demand Project operates the largest capacity residential campus for survivors of child sex trafficking in the nation and needs staff, volunteers and donors to help fully fund its services – all of which are free of charge. Please go to thedemandproject.org to learn more about how you can join us in this fight.
