In the 2018 midterm elections, 90 Muslims were on the ballots across the United States and nearly all were Democrats.

There are now three members of Congress who are practicing Muslims. There are a host of Muslims holding office in states and communities.

Two are Muslim women – Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan. Omar is unapologetically pro-Sharia, pro-female genital mutilation, pro-CAIR, pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel. She is a Holocaust denier.

Tlaib is a first-year congresswoman famous for her profane, expletive-filled tirade against the president. She was named to the powerful House Oversight Committee.

The third Muslim is Andre Carson of Mississippi. All three align themselves with the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organization. These and other in the government have an agenda known as “civilization jihad.” – a way to infiltrate the host nation’s government with a goal of a non-violent takeover to make a nation Sharia compliant in all aspects of life.

Ilhan recommended reducing sentences for convicted ISIS members in Minnesota by asking the judge for “compassion.” Do the perpetrators of Muslim violence on Americans need compassion? Tlaib celebrated her election wrapped in the Palestinian flag and she supports anti-Israel activities. She stated that she will vote against military aid to Israel and she supports only a one-state solution in the Middle East.

With people with this worldview in our government’s operations and policies, can we be complacent and silent as we see this worldview becoming increasingly un-American?

The sheer number of Christians persecuted and/or killed at the hands of Muslims overseas is staggering. According to Intercession for America, 215 million Christians (adults and children) are suffering unbelievable persecutions worldwide with torture, rape, forced marriages, honor killings and death.

Such daily events go largely unnoticed and unreported in the Western news because that news does not fit the narrative that “Islam is a peaceful religion.” Our brothers and sisters in Christ need our help, our daily prayers and efforts to bring awareness to our legislators.

We Christians must be the voice for those who have no voice. Pray also that views which are incompatible with our Constitution would be thwarted and alien ideologies be defeated.
